  • Whose really responsible for Australias demise?

The bowlers have worn it so far, but the previous two pitches were roads.

I cant understand how the batters have gotten away with it for so long. England's batters have been getting runs on pathetic pitches, but ours manage to get themselves out! Sure, England are bowling well, but there are far better bowling attacks than theirs.

I blame our demise on our batters, notably Ricky and Clarke. Throwing their wickets away playing rubbish, nothing shots.

I also agree with another question asked about 5 mins ago (sorry, forgot who asked it), that is how did Hughes get in the team? Surely, when a side needs to win two out of the next three and not lose another you would pick blokes who are in form. We should have picked young blokes after we lost the Ashes two years ago.

The whole of CA needs to go. Too hungry for money, agreeing to interviewing players during the national anthem, picking crap teams.

Sorry, that's a lot to digest, but im fairly heated at the moment...

  • What do you think of the Essendon draft choices?

Heppell at 8 was a steal, but im unsure about the next two. Ariel in particular.

I would have had Luke Parker, as i thought we needed midfielders

  • Matty Lloyd just hung up the boots?

    Any comments?

Personally, its sad that hes gone because he was a champion of the Essendon footy club. Leading goal kicker on multiple occasions, captain, B&F winner, the mans done it all with the Dons. The gap he will leave will force some of the younger blokes to step up to the plate. Gumbleton and Neagle need a big pre season if they are going to fill half the void Lloyd will leave, but it will be good for them and Essendon in the long run.

  • Essendon supporters, what do you think Essendon should do with Lovett?

Ive seen heaps of people on the Dons website suggesting that a straight swap for Shaun B would be the best option, and sure Burgoyne is a pretty good player when hes going. However, i think the Dons should be talking to the clubs that have high draft picks, not Port who are trying to over value a player who is walking out on them. At his best, Shaun is a great player, however at his worst he can go a whole game and not get a touch. Prismall worked really well this year, but he had surgery to fix the issue. Shaun just had a niggle that kept him out all year. In my opinion, we should be going for high draft picks, not inconsistent players trying to escape cultural problems. Lovett and a couple of other guys (Laycock etc) could tempt Melbourne to give up the number 2 pick, and given its the last real draft an early pick is way more important than an old player.

  • If the 12th man comes on to field, should they wear the baggy green or blue?

The commentators on Sky were discussing it, and i thought id ask everyone on here. Provide a nice break to some of the rubbish that has been posted on here today.

Do you think you need to be in the starting 11 to wear a baggy green for Australia, Baggy blue for England etc?

  • Are we all happy with Mike Shehans top 50 list?

    1. Ablett

    2. Judd

    3. Franklin

    4. Cox

    5. Hodge

Thats the top five anyway. I personally think David Hille was a bit unlucky to not make the 50, what do you all think?

  • Was Brad Haddins 169 in Adelaide enough to cement his test spot?

He has been under a bit of pressure recently, but did his 169 in Adelaide silence the critics and cement him his spot in the Australian Test team.
