What do you think of the Essendon draft choices?

Heppell at 8 was a steal, but im unsure about the next two. Ariel in particular.

I would have had Luke Parker, as i thought we needed midfielders

    Absolutely Luke Parker! I go to high school with him and i know first hand how good he is. He should have a been higher pick than he was. However, i think Essendon made good choices. It's hard to knock any decisions with the coaching team we have now!

    Heppell is a great pick up, you were lucky he was still there at 8, looks a likely type, by all accounts he was the best player in the u18's in the 2nd half of the season, proof of that is him winning the Morrish Medal this year.

    I was surprised to

    I expected Essendon to go with midfielders with the first 3 picks

    But, I'm sure they know what they're doing

    If not, Essendon is in for a long year
