Are people going to make fun of me if I drive a kia suv?
I'm gonna put a lot of miles on it. So, I figured best put a bunch of miles on a cheaper suv.
If I buy a nicer expensive car I'm going to put so many miles on it

Let my oil level get low, replaced it with the wrong stuff and now I have acceleration issues... How screwed am I..?
So I was driving my 2014 Subaru Forester to work when the "low oil" light came on (the Subaru has a low oil light AND a low pressure light, it was just low oil so i figured i could make it to work)
I drove about 10 miles more, parked it at work and then replaced it after I finished. But it needs 0w-20 and I used 5w-30.
I drove it home 55 miles (about an hour by highway) and at the end of the drive, it has trouble going up hills without jerking. It doesn't sound like it's going to stall but it feels jerky...
I since replaced the oil properly, draining out the bad and putting in 0w-20.
How screwed is the engine..? Can anything be done short of an engine replacement..?

Should I care about rusted-out brake dust shields?
I have a 2005 Toyota and the dust shields are reduced to nearly nothing. Replacing them, especially, the rear ones, is a big job even though the part is cheap. Is there a strong reason to throw a lot of money at this "problem"?

Why does my car battery keep dying?
I recently changed the intake air temp sensor
in my 04 Acura TL. The car started up and ran fine for the whole night. I noticed when I got home as soon as I shut the car off my battery died, I know cause when I hit my power locks it was unresponsive. Tried starting the car the next day and needed a jump. I got it jumped and left the car the running for at least 30 min before shutting it off. My battery and alternator are basically brand new so could the sensor be faulty and be draining my battery?

What's a good car to start with?
Favourite answer:Whichever vehicle meets the most of your wants and needs from a vehicle while still fitting within your budget.
I also suggest that you phone an insurance agent or broker to get insurance quotes for each vehicle after you've narrowed down your choices to 2 or 3 finalists. Insurance premiums can vary wildly between vehicles and an insurance quote may help you decide on which vehicle to finally pick.
Assuming you're going for a used vehicle, also have a dealer or shop inspect the vehicle you're serious about buying before you finalize the deal. This is your best protection against being saddled with unanticipated repairs within the foreseeable future.

What can I do to keep myself entertained in traffic ?
Favourite answer:I would get a motorcycle and split the lane. Motorcycles are fun and I enjoyed riding for 20 years. One time, I needed to go 20 miles away during rush hour and on the return trip, passed the same cars that were still in the jam. Maybe there's a commuter train you could take and read the newspaper or watch youtube every day.

Is there a safe way to buy a car from a private seller in another state without traveling?
Hello,
Recently my little brother found the car of his dreams.
He has the money to buy it, as well as pay for shipping fee.
He lives in Virginia, and the car and seller are in New York.
He was wondering is there any legal and safe way to buy the car and have the title transfered/mailed without actually having to travel about Nine hours away?..
All advice and sugestions are appreciated.
Thank you!

Hissing coming from brake?
I'm not sure if this hissing noise is a sign of a bad brake booster, master cylinder or vacuum hose. My brake system works fine even since the hissing started. The brake pedal isn't tensing up on me and I'm not flooring it out either. The hissing stops when I press the brake all the way down, but hisses non stop while driving. Any ideas on what I should replace? I'd hate to replace the brake booster just to find out it's a totally different issue.
