Should I take my dog to the vet?

My dog got bit another dog at the park. She was yelling and screaming, but now she isn’t. However, she is limping. Should I take her to the Vet? Is that a sign of severe injury?

Help. My dogs gets stuck on the middle of the stairs?

My st.benard does fine on the top of the stairs is always slow but with 3 steps from the bottom she freezes and is so afraid it takes me 15 minutes sometimes to get her down. I have tried to leave her alone, tried to help, use treats, use her favorite toys. Its not like i could pick her up. When she was a puppy she slid off the stairs once but shes been fine up to the point

    Long line tips?

My dog loves to go on hikes and we’ve been working on leash manners for a while. I’m finally more comfortable with giving him longer leash privileges. The only issue is (even in a heel) it’s hard to get his attention. He is a hound and often follows his nose, and while he’s being trained to track I would love if he would not galavant off at a moments whim, or stand sniffing with no regard to me trying to get his attention.

I worry this could get him into trouble on trails. We’ve been working on leave it with interesting scents (horse, other dog, ferret ect. Scented fabrics) but he still gets distracted.

Any tips to help him work on this?

    Rash on Beagle?

    Favourite answer:

Dogs looks TERRIBLE => see a vet IMMEDIATELY.  May (or may not) be mange.  There are two different types of mange; sarcoptic & demodectic.  If not treated quickly, a localized infection (which can be very painful) can spread and become SYSTEMIC and much more serious.

What if you refuse to give up foster dog?

The foster agency agreement does say they don't allow fosters to adopt, and I did sign it, so lets put the legal jargon aside. I love the dog and want to keep it, and I only have 4 days. I don't mind paying the adoption fee they have (heck i'd double it), but if push comes to shove and they say I have to give him back and I simply refuse what can they do and are they likely to actually do anything.

I would imagine any kind of lawsuit would cost them thousands and adoption fee is only $450, but just want some opinion on the likely outcome (more so than the moral side of it).

What dog shampoo do you use for your dog?

My pug stinks pretty bad and I give him a shower once every week because of it. I don't know how often you need to shower your pup but I don't want to do it to much because he has sensitive skin and it gets irritated pretty quick. I have a shampoo for him that works good the first day but then the next he is already starting to smell again. He isn't an outside dog so I don't know why he smells so much in the first place. please help!

It's like your kids asking to get a cockapoo.

why do cats bite peoples feet?

    Favourite answer:

    They're doing it because:

    1. They want to play

    2. They could be bored or hungry

Also ignore Sandy, she's a sick freak. Animal abuse is NEVER the answer!

Will my kitten grow out of being so hyper??????

So i got a kitten and very new to this whole cat dad thing. Before ive only had dogs as pets while i used to live with my parents. however, ever since moving out over 2 years ago i never had a pet of my own until now.

He is about 6/7 weeks old... i got him last week and he's been fun to be around but he is a very active and hyper kitty.

my question is once he gets older will he calm down? cats are usually independent right?

my only issue rn is that he loves bitting my hand and im trying to teach him not to but its an ongoing process lol

he eats solid food, learned to use his litter box on day one. He's very affectionate and loves to cuddle...

but these last 2 days he's been bouncing off the walls lol

ive been buying him toys to keep him busy and i try to put him to bed by 9 or 10 pm. I do put him in my bathroom or else he won't fall asleep if he's with me. I want to let him sleep by me when hes a little older.

At night he doesn't cry at all and sleeps through the night. in the morning ill let him be on my bed but as of late he just gets off and runs around my room.

Anyways so will he always be this hyper? I do want him neutered but idk if this will affect his behavior.

also will catnip help? i heard it can relax them but i also heard it makes them crazy.

Am i the asshole for breaking quarantine while having covid?

the reason behind this is that i have to walk my dog. I don't walk him to the park though, obviously. Just around my house/neighbourhood for a bit, just enough for him to do his thing and go. Does that make me an asshole?

Why do people still believe the myth that pit bills are dangerous? ?

Pitt bulls are more dangerous than any other dogs. They only attack when they have been raised incorrectly. Unfortunately, many Pitt bulls have been abused and trained to fight. My family owns 2 Pitts and they have never harm any of us even once.

What’s the best age to neuter or spay medium to large sized mixed breed pups?

I’ve had different advice from different vets so asking online. Two vets said at 6 months of age and one said after the first heat for the female pup.

Why does a dog on a 50-yard leash runs straight to the end of it and bark and bark some more.?

Have you ever noticed whenever you have a fenced in yard miles long or put your dog on a really long leash that dog either runs right to the end of the leash and barks and barks or runs to the end of the fence and runs back and forth snarling at you
