Most of these seem to be in Alaska but as a vegan , you need somewhere warmer where you can grow food. Decent farm land is not cheap and setting up a home in a big field is not really allowed in most places.

Plenty of people do this. All the people commenting below are not only failing to answer your question, but showing that they too are undereducated in certain ways. I suggest YouTubing building codes, eco-living, and other related ideas for you to get a feel of what you would have to do. Ultimately, your first step would require you to make enough money to buy land, and you’re going to want to do so somewhere with little to no building codes such as rural parts of the southeastern US. Hawaii would be awesome but too many restrictions.

This Tom guy and saint Vyacheslav Krasheninnikov both said that once you hide: no documents / no electronics / etc. so that nothing holds you back and you won’t go back into the city ‘cuz police will stop to chip you if you decide to go back. You have to live off grid; it’s tough but it’s the only way; forgive me.

Go to Slab City.      You can get plenty of practical experience there

I wouldn't describe your thinking as "unconventional."

I would describe it as "ignorant."

By which I mean, the belief that living in a structured society is "abnormal" is ignorant of human history.  Humans are social animals - it's one of our defining characteristics.  Living entirely on your own is so unrealistic that you can't even imagine it without invoking things that wouldn't exist without human society.

How would you get to Hawaii independently?  How would you even know about Hawaii without having been educated by your society?  Even the concept of a "farm" wouldn't exist.

Living in an eco-friendly way is certainly possible.  As is living without being hooked up to the power and communication grids.  But only by learning from other humans who figured out how, and using tools and materials other humans made available too you.

Living off the grid is harder than it seems to those who have not done it.

First things first, all the land on the entire planet belongs to someone or some entity (a corporation, a government, etc.). Squatters are not welcome, even if they have no ecological, visual, or other impact. You can't just pick a remote place and live there.

Second, growing or gathering the food you need to live as a vegan is not easy. Have you ever farmed? Gardened and lived only on what you grow? Plenty of bugs and critters will fight you for every bite.

In fact, for anyone contemplating this, I urge you to move to a place that's warm enough to grow crops year-round (Florida, southern New Mexico, Arizona, California, or Texas) and plant a sustenance garden. Six weeks in, don't buy food, living entirely on what you grow.

Other problems you can anticipate but not easily solve are building a shelter that's impervious to whatever the weather brings using only the materials at hand, preserving food, getting clean water, and the usual pests of people living rough: rats, mice, fleas, lice, and ants.

I have a relative who lived in what amounted to a floored hut in Costa Rica while she brought fresh water to a village that had one well, as the leader of a Peace Corps project. She, too, thought off-the-grid would be an eco-challenge and do-able. She was really miserable, though, usually too hot or too cold, often wet, insects in her food, rats in her home, not enough clean water for a proper bath, books molding from the humidity. She couldn't wait to finish and go home.

Well you can buy yourself a trailer and live on the road.Thats the best i can do for you.All of the land on Earth is owned by the government(s).

There are more people like you than you think. It takes money or an ongoing income to live anywhere in today's society.

So, you want food? How do you get it?

Grow it? You need to own land. Land has property taxes. You need land with water and enough space for sewer on property. Money is only an accounting and barter medium.

What farm would accept you? I thought all major farms are now commercial.

You are dreaming, undereducated, and too idealistic.

Living without medical access generally means on average you die faster.
