I have never put a dime on a sporting event, but my Uconn Huskies are playing Oklahoma and despite what some of you think the outcome may be, I want to put a few bucks on it. Thanks in advance! I am looking to buy a bike. I live in NYC. It will be used almost entirely on streets, with some occasional dirt roads and I will use it year round. I am leaning toward a hybrid, but have heard some recommendations to buy a road bike instead. I do not ride a lot, but would like to be comfortable when I do. My price range is $400-$700.

I am a graphic designer working in print advertising. Due to the tough economy, my recent marriage, an industry shift toward digital and a drive to be more well rounded, I would like to learn how to build web sites. The idea is that I would like to start a small design firm that can handle print and digital design.

Can anyone please tell me where I should start? I have quite a bit of Photoshop experience and a very basic understanding of Flash. I do own Flash and have a book and CD with tutorials. Is Flash the way to go or should I start with a class that teaches website design in general? Is Flash even worth it as I have heard there are new similar programs? Do I even need a class? Are tutorials enough? Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am an American living in NYC. My Polish girlfriend and I have been talking about marriage for some time now. I am saving money for a ring, etc. She is in the country on a work visa and has been for 10 years. She works for a large troubled financial institution and is very concerned about losing her job. She could be laid off any day now. If she is, she has 10 days to find a new job or leave the country.

I assume we could speed things up and go down to city hall and have a shotgun weddding just for her status and worry about a more formal wedding later. Can anyone tell me the details of a city hall marriage? Will her status change immediately? Do we have to prove our love? Will she have to move back to Poland temporarily? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

I sit on a floor in NYC filled with cubicles. 2 people near me like to clip their finger nails at their desk, usually at their lunch break. I find the noise to be disturbing and quite frankly, it is just plain rude and disgusting. Just about every job I have had, there is always someone who has to clip their nails at work. Don't get me started on the guy who used to clip his toe nails at work or the people that ride the subway and clip their nails. Am I the only one who finds this unnacceptable?

I am going to Virginia Beach for Memorial Day weekend. I have never been there before and would appreciate some advice from someone who is familiar with the area please. I am a young 35 years old and am travelling with my girlfriend, friend and his girlfriend. We are looking to sit on the beach, eat seafood and party a bit.

1. HOTEL: I am willing to spend between $150-$250 a night and think I want to be on the beach. Should I be near the boardwalk? What area is best? Any specific hotel that is not too old? I am open to ideas... Norfolk?

FOOD: Where do we NEED to go for seafood? The best please.

BARS: Is there a bar we must see? Maybe a popular beach bar or a rooftop bar?

ACTIVITIES: We are pretty much chilling but if there is something you feel we should do while there please let me know.

TRAVEL: I think I am training it from NYC. Is the train station in town?

FIREWORKS: Are there fireworks for Memorial Day? My girlfriend loves them!

I am a Polish citizen working in NYC with an H1B work Visa. I am in between jobs and was told not to travel outside of the United States for next few months but want to bring my visiting parents to Caribbean. Can I travel to USVI's or Puerto Rico as they are part of the US? I may just go to Florida again but would rather bring parents to see the Caribbean. We have EU passports. THANKS!!

I am in the process of changing jobs and my H1B visa was transferred to another company. It was suggested I travel within the US only for the next 3-4 months. Is it ok to travel to US. Virgin Islands (St Croix, St Thomas, St John) or Puerto Rico as they are part of United States? I am a Polish citizen with a EU passport.

My girlfriend is a Polish citizen living in NYC on a work visa. We are travelling to Mexico on Tuesday for vacation. She is not sure of the required documentation for her to travel. She has a Polish passport. Anyone know what papers are needed? Thanks in advance.

I am looking for a romatic spot to view the NYC fireworks from. I don't want to be bumping elbows with strangers and a little grass would be nice. I would like to surprise my girlfriend with a nice picnic and as much seclusion as possible, but still be able to see the show unobstructed. This may be impossible but I thought I would try. Does anyone have a secret spot that they would share? I would like to get there at 6:00 or 7:00 and still be able to see. Possible? Please help.
