According to the Pew Research Center, nearly 1 in 100 people around the world have been displaced from their homes?

From a sociological point of view, what are the consequences of this displacement for refugees and their families?

Is being displaced a good thing or a bad thing.  Millions of people in Venezuela have been displaced as a result of leftist politics.  Are they better off in a place that is able to provide the necessities of life or in their original homes?  Most Sociologists will not acknowledge the harm caused by liberals because they themselves are liberal.  Sociologists will construe any excuse except the true nature of the problem to justify more liberal policy that only make things worse.  In a functional world where objectivity rules over emotional thought, there would be no refugees.  Unfortunately, man has 2 ways of generating thought--one of them creates misery (liberal) and the other creates prosperity (conservative) and the vast majority of people have no idea that this is the reality that we live under.  So we are saddled with refugees as long as there is leftist politics.
