Which city do you prefer? Johannesburg or Miami?

Miami. Its far safer and much more civilized. Try walk around JHB anytime day or night. Its a potential war zone. Our car was broken into in broad daylight and in a busy street just to steal some clothing items. Window smashed. Jhb is not a good place to even walk around during the day especially if you are not from there and do not know your way around. You will be ambushed if you take a wrong turn or look like tourist. Never mind what anyone else says. I have been there at least 50 times and to Miami about 10 times. My friends who lives in the suburbs of JHB warns me every time I go there to be careful. But that's the same with basically all major SA cities. Ranked as the most dangerous places on earth. Some areas in major SA cities are more dangerous than the Middle East. I did not say it. Just find the stats and see for yourself. Anyone saying JHB most likely just grew up there and got used to the circumstances. And yes you can walk around and act like everything is ok. But the safety in SA is very far from Ok. Take my word for it. Find murder stats and you will freak out. The worst part is that bad people are by far the minority but it only takes one rotten apple to spoil everything. They have no respect for law and order or the Police, government or fellow citizens in SA

Johannesburg....because those are my people

Two vastly different places,  Johannesburg is an inland city while Miami is located on the Ocean.

I would prefer Johannesburg. One reason is because you can visit it all year round, whereas Miami only in winter. 

I have been to both. 

Miami as a retirement town for old folk. Johannesburg is for the young. 

You've never been anywhere like Miami – fact. Known as the “Magic City”, Miami boasts a unique and exciting mix of hip urban culture, laid-back seaside vibes, and Latin and US traditions.

Miami is preferable because of the nation in which it is located, and also because it is not being plagued by civic unrest and protesting again.

Miami because we all know it.

Very few people have been to both.

i think they both sound like good cities
