Would you say this to your uncle?

My turkish boyfriend had this message on his phone from who he claims is his niece. But I am wondering if this is something a niece would say to an uncle in Turkey.

The message was. Gunaydin canim hayatim.

Google translate is confusing me. Thankyou

Nope, I would never say that to my uncle, nor would anybody I know. I call my mother canım (my dear) sometime, but hayatım (my life)? Like never. It sounds more like what someone would say to somebody else s/he likes/loves romantically.

Yes you could say that, it sort of means good morning dear, my life.

Poor guy, hooked up with a paranoid snooper. Give him our sympathy.

All it says is "Good morning, honey."
