Parents: how do you feel about your kids using...?

how do you feel about kids using websites such as Omegle(its a chatting website) knowing that a lot of adults (and teens) go there for cyber sex and to trade nude photos? I sometimes use this site to chat ( NOTHING SEXUAL) and often come across teens (13-17) asking to do these things. and will go as far as to give phone numbers, fb, kik and Skype names. do kids not understand that doing these things are illegal such as making and distributing child pornography and the dangers of giving out things like to to anyone let alone strangers?. if you found out your child was doing these things how would you handle it? how do you feel bout knowing other teens do these things and often don't know its illegal?

Update:

but often times I don't believe the parents are aware these things are happening?

Update 2:

often parents don't really know what their child is doing online and on their phone

Thank you and keeping getting the message out about these sites. You are right that once parents find out about these things, the kids stop using them and move on to another site. The more this sites are put out there, the better the odds parents have of finding them. A parent that thinks their child just uses facebook for their little chats, are kidding themselves.

My children are not allowed to go on there, as they're not yet 18.

Knowing what your child is doing on the internet is easy. There's history, cookies, many ways of looking at what websites have been visited. And them clearing the history would be the huge red flag that they can't be trusted. But really, the best way is to simply have the computer in a family area where anyone can walk by and see what website you're on. When our kids are on the computer, we're usually in the same room and can see the screen. We do allow the 17 year old more privacy.

I would never be ok with my kids going on those sites. I'll make sure to educate them about the dangers of sites like those as they grow up, so hopefully it's never a problem. If I found out they were using a website like Omegle, I would take their computer away.
