Does this necessarily make me a scoundrel?

june bug

simple general spontaneity

she doesn't carry a script

a playful sense of curiosity

a diamond above her lip

a fashion minded spirit wearing jeans

to humor me and my hat

two-step across the oak knotted floor beams

a music note as her tat

we sang with the band and howled at the moon

waking with the morning sun

she fixed breakfast then left me around noon

our first date was the third one

The kind of scoundrel I have no complaints against. Mischief is sometimes very healing. Thank you.

A tale of a free spirit who meets a rock man. Sounds as though a good time was had by all. Howling at the moon, great metaphor for a roll in the hay ( another metaphor). She fixed breakfast - nah should have been the other way round, but your final line offers some redemption. Very nice Andy P. A recent event or a memory, I wonder? I also like your new avatar.

Scoundrel? No. A smart man? Yes

You must be a Texan...love the two step @

    Billy Bob's.

Very romantic and gives me pleasant thoughts.

I love the last line, would have never thought it.

S1, L4 reminds me of a poem I did on journey

to "The Center." "her lip" to me works very well

The structure is very sound, and I am pleased

to leave tonight with this the last one :), unless

of course I com back later for more.

Makes me think of some serious moshing with a little sex thrown in there :) Good, well-written poem.

i love your icon!!! i also loved the last verse of this poem, made me smile. actually all of this poem brought a smile to my face, it's rare that poetry ventures into light hearted topics and is not overwrought with emotion and heavy.

I totally enjoyed this and feel a sense of envy. I can't sing, but play a mean 6 string, can I be in your band?
