  • Help with specific heat question!?

A piece of chromium metal with a mass of 24.26g is heated in boiling water to 98.3C and then dropped into a coffee-cup calorimeter containing 82.3g of water at 23.3C. When thermal equilibrium is reached, the final temperature is 25.6C. Calculate the specific heat capacity of chromium.

I'm not sure how to set it up even. :\

  • Dichotomous key to herbaceous plants native to Asia?

I am specifically looking to identify herbaceous plants native to Taiwan and the tropical climate band of East Asia. I need one in English, though Mandarin is fine if it's a photographic key.

  • Is there a grocery store in Austin that carries Balance bars?

Any of you just happen to know this, or buy these yourself? I thought this might be easier than calling every grocery store in town. Also, I'm not just looking for energy bars in general. A Power Bar will not do. I don't care about Clif bars or Luna bars or anything else... just Balance bars.

  • I think I've had a stroke but I'm uninsured and poor. What can I do?

I live in Austin, TX, and I am new to the area, so I don't even know what kind of assistance is available. All I know is that I couldn't afford the most basic medical care right now, let alone the MRIs and other expensive tests necessary to confirm this. And I would pretty much have to go to a hospital ER to be sure the right diagnostic equipment is available, which is incredibly expensive. There's no way I can do this, and I have no one who can help.

And before anyone asks, yes, I am sure of it. Though, to be more accurate, I've probably had an ischemic attack. I've had small ones before. My only concern is that I may still be bleeding this time.

  • Have you seen a study about money feeling more valuable when you earn it through physical labor?

I know it sounds stupid, but I recently saw an article on this. Researchers found that, dollar-for-dollar, money was seen as more valuable to a person who actually had to engage in physical labor to earn it as opposed to someone who did light office or phone work to earn it.

I saw this article on a fairly major news site within the last month, but I am having no luck finding it. Obviously, this is a pretty complex thing to enter into a Google search, and the key terms are pretty generic.

Does anyone know where I can find a link to the study itself or an article about it? Please help!
