As smartphone cameras become better, fewer people are buying traditional cameras. According to an article by Harvey Lloyed, the average American citizen no longer has film developed at a photo-processing store. Digital images are now the norm, with millions of people using photo-sharing sites which is still the number one social site.

Well, what is the main idea that it is supposed to be describing? All that it is saying is that nobody uses film cameras any more because they all have cameras in their phones. It is not difficult to understand, is it?

It could be tied together with a better topic sentence- something like 'Digital technology has greatly changed the way people record, store, and share experiences through pictures." Then the camera, change from film to digital images and sharing on websites all ties in. That last clause needs to go!
