Should I get a portable aircon?

I'm planning to move to a new place soon, so do you think it's wise to purchase a portable aircon instead of installing one?

    Get a window shaker.  Those portable ACs are junk.  And that exposed exhaust ducting on those units scream low budget.

    If it's a really short time, tough it out. Mine was super noisy and the window adapter didn't fit well.

    The portable are noisy, less efficient and still require a vent mounted in a window. They cost significantly more.
