can I smoke thc carts around birds?

I've gotten a lot of different answers from just googling this, and I thought id just straight up ask before this place dies.

I have 2 budgies (parakeets) and they are placed behind my desk where I am usually hanging around. I smoke bud too, but I do that outside because I know for a fact that is very harmful. Ive heard people saying they can vape around their birds, but these are Delta-8 THC carts which is like diet weed. They work like vapes, using vapor instead of smoke that usually dissipates in a couple seconds but does have a usually fruity smell. I want to smoke in my room, but I don't want to straight up kill my two little feathered friends. Anyone know a distinct answer to whether I can smoke these delta-8 carts in front of my little budgies?
