There are volunteers in hospitals in the US, but you can't get a visa to do that. However, after you get your nursing degree, there are traveling nurse positions that allow you to go all over the world and work for pay.

You would need to contact the hospital directly to see if they have a volunteer program for what you need, and whether they are actually taking volunteers at this time.

Not really - as you'd need a work visa to do this, which you wouldn't get.

During a pandemic?  Probably not possible.

In the U.S. you can't volunteer as a nurse or even a nursing helper without the appropriate credentials.  You'd just have to look on websites of individual hospitals to see if any have any type of volunteer openings.  This would be different at each and every hospital.  There isn't anything like NHS in the U.S. or a central place where volunteer opportunities are managed.
