At what age did you start swearing/cussing/cursing  on a regular basis?

This was like when 10-11, when some occasional swear words first became part of my vocabulary. This was in front of my cousins or friends, not adults as of yet.

I remember saying " Damn" Asshole" " *****" mostly although I only swore sometimes. The first time I cursed around a cousin of mine was " son of a *****" when I lost at a Nintendo game.

The first time I dropped The F bomb was in front of a friend of mine. This was like after school waiting to be picked up by our parents. I had gotten a D on like a math test and we were comparing tests.  He didn't do well either and he told me he heard the whole class was going to have to retake the test. I was like " oh ****!"

My friend jumped a little and just kinda laughed, like shocked. The next day, he was like " I never heard you cuss before" and another classmate of mine oddly complemented me when he heard about it.

I can't remember a time when I didn't.  At least age 3.  Some damned fools need to learn it's just WORDS.  There's a village in Austria called Fu cking (piss on the censor!).  It's in the municipality of Tarsdorf, about 33 Km. (21 mi.) north of Salzburg (where Mozart lived & "The Sound of Music [mucus] was made).  It has a population of about 125.

Never have.  Sure I cuss and swear, but not on a regular basis.  It's usually when I'm pissed at someone and I rarely am.

To this day I am appalled when I hear females use the f word on a regular basis.  That's the way I was brought up; nice girls didn't swear...period.

When I turned 18 I went into construction work. Did I ever become foul mouthed. Approaching 30 I asked a friend why she stopped inviting me to her home. She told me she didn't want around her kids because of my horrible language. At first I was kind of mad, kind of "accept me the way I am" about it.

But it did get me to thinking. Eventually I was wondering what else I was missing out on because people found my language distasteful, even offensive. And wondering whether I should change the way I talked.

I reasoned that I'm more likely to get negative consequences for using foul language than I am to get negative consequences for NOT using foul language. And set to work replacing "Holy ___" with "Holy Toledo," replacing "gave me ___ about it" with "gave me grief about it, replacing "what the ___" and "what on earth," replacing "that's ___ great" with "that's great," and so on.

I haven't dropped any F bombs or S bombs for years, and I don't miss it. And I need only say "hell" or "damn" for people around to realize that I am seriously, enormously upset and they'd best pay attention. Before, I could cuss a blue streak and nobody paid any mind because I always talked like that.
