Yes they are.  But Yahoo will not admit they have killed them, only stating that the Groups are 'changing'.  Well everyone has mostly bugged out to Groups.io, so see ya Yahoo....

After December will I be able, as admin, to send a message to the list (without graphics)? Or are they facing out the members emails too?

Yahoo Groups is shutting down and there will be NO MORE as of December 14th

many are not.  Unfortunately a lot of groups have lost their moderator and turned into spamfests, and VERIZON doesn't do a thing about it

added: yahoogroups are going to be reduced to plaintext email-lists before 2020. no more uploads, digests, archive, polls, directory....

That's a good question. Technically no, the Yahoo neo Groups are still there, but accessing them is very difficult because of multiple email problems.
