  • Spending Christmas with atrial-fibrillation?

Okay, trying to raise a flag here: if you got a cardiac condition and a pacemaker, and the a-fibs struck you this time of year but couldn't get it treated on time for any given reason, then this thread is a small show of support. I know how it is, it's pretty unbearable, you feel like nothing good can go your way because the flutter is holding you back. But try to consider that your life does not revolve around this pause, it shouldn't define you and make you feel like everything is useless because of the uncertainty of how many times it has to get treated. And I know how hard it is to get it treated, I know that wikipedia undersells it when they claim it's just 'common', it's always an event to get the flutter off the system. But if you're feeling like trash right now because of it then here's a small start to let you know you're not alone, and nobody grows old just to feel this way. There's more to life than this.

    Merry Christmas.

  • Am I abusing my hot spot?

I'm having issues with my internet today until probably next Monday, so for now and for the first time I'm using the Hot Spot app on my Galaxy S4. So what are the limits to this? Is the phone gonna lose memory like crazy? Battery shouldn't be a problem because I got it hooked up to the charger as we're working, that's okay, right?

  • Wasn't paying attention when finished Borderlands 2...?

OK I beat this game last summer and I've been eking out enjoying the sights and curb-stomping puny marauders and psychos with my arsenal since then. But before it gets old...someone please remind me how was it that I could start a new game without losing my current character. I can play this again with everything I got now just like in Dead Island, right? How is it, do I just select New Game and that's it or what?

  • Flaky stuff on my organic beer?

I had bought this bottle of Pinkus Organic Pils but when I poured there was some flaky stuff floating all over it, so I didn't drink it thinking I might've gotten a really old filthy rusty bottle. But now looking it up, I'm not sure if I made a mistake and that's how some organic stuff pours.

  • Should I keep the party going?

I scored a big pint of Weyebacher Blasphemy aged ale today at a craft beer bar. Should I drink it tonight to some Boardwalk Empire?...OR:

Save it for next weekend to a funky action film?...OR:

Save it for next month to a gory horror film? (It would match with the bottle's label art!)

  • How do you deal with panhandlers?

Need to confess something: I dunno what panhandlers are like where you live but here I've always liked to take a big masochistic risk and say: 'Nope!' before they even finish talking. I know I'm gonna get in huge trouble for this some day but I just love removing the humility mask in front of lots people. Old ladies and little kids watching this guy that walked up to them like a lamb now either glare a really frightening look in his eyes, or snap and start insulting you and threatening you like crazy and storm out. I will not by any means ever try this anywhere else, but here, and for now, good times.

  • Is WWE Studios profitable?

Are people always gonna be interested in McMahon and crew, or is pro-wrestling destined to end up a low common denominator product TNA proudly provides for the niche sperg market? Is the WWE on their way to do like IFC Studios and just eke out a living cranking out crappy horror movies straight to DVD & Blu-ray?

But on the other hand, could TNA finally firing Hulk Hogan also change this? If the competition is so pathetic, then the WWE obviously wouldn't need a reason to go back to their former glory! Would outside influence change things rather than their own effort?

  • The Grim Reaper guy in the ring lately...?

So who's that guy? He dresses real dapper and wears some Dia de los Muertos luchador mask waving the Mexican flag and greeting all the Mexican fighters since like back in September. Is he a mascot for Corona or Golden Boy Promotions? That's a pretty cool mask he's wearing! I noticed tonight he also added a cigar...

  • Places where nuns got killed?

So other than Chechnya and El Salvador, are there any other massacres/war crimes where nuns were the victims? The more modern the better. And we don't have to limit this to just killings, I'm looking for any examples of nuns getting abused by non-church people Google won't list no matter how I type it.

  • Rich people obligations?

I once overheard an anecdote about rich teens going to a convent in Spain and looking after the nuns during some time in the summer or winter. I find that very strange, is it an 'old money' phenomenon? Can the teens say 'LOL funk that!' and do whatever they want in their time off like normal people would or is it a hardcore obligation teaching them charity and humility? Or is it that most super rich are brought up in their environment in boarding schools and such? I'm aware that it's also b/c of Europe and how conservative they potentially are in spite of anything, specially the high class, but I still find it puzzling and would like to learn more.
