Hot humid weather means everything grows in Houston.

    Friendly people

    Lots of jobs

    Cheap gas

Housing costs are low compared to other states

    No state income tax

I don't like my high electrical bill because AC is a must.

    Azaleas are gorgeous here.

Mexican food is out of this world.

Best Medical Center in the World

I've lived here since I was 4 years old and lived 10 years in Austin for awhile.

I like Houston better than Austin.

    I like Northwest Houston best.

You can get anywhere on a freeway.

I lived there six years. The people were quite friendly.. The weather is hard to bear. I saw it remain in the 90s and higher for ten months of the year and then drop to the 20s in January and February. It is very humid. so I sweated often..I never saw snow while I lived there, but I saw what the natives call snow years later when I visited my oldest sister who had moved there. I call it sleet, and it was gone in an hour. Jobs were plentiful, and the cost of living was low. In summary, it had many advantages to live there. The weather was the worst thing about it.

Too much immigrants there, but it's a safe place to live since the overwhelmingly majority of the population has guns.
