For equine photography professionals and customers.?

I am a former professional photographer from the old film days. (1980's mainly). I had left the industry for a while, but am now being coerced back into the business in equine photography. My questions are the following:

1. Rather than sending images over the internet, do you send images via snail mail on CDS, DVDs, pin drives, etc? Customers, what format do you prefer ? Photographers, do you sell as prints or sell the electronic image ?

2. Sellers, do you have a preference on what type of "package" to offer? Do you find selling the image or a printed copy best when selling on site at events ?

As a customer, ideally, I'd like to get both a digital AND a printed copy. The print copy would allow me to frame it or place it in my photo album right away (it's a bit of a bother to have to run into town and take my CD to Wal-Mart for them to print it out.) But I also like having electronic versions of my favorite photographs to use as screen savers or email to friends and again, if I have to make time to take a printed photo somewhere to scan it onto a CD, it's probably not going to get done.

So I would want BOTH. And I guess the easiest way is to send them via "snail mail."

As per my opinion you need to go for storing images in digital media like CDs or DVDs because it virusproof some how and also good for the selling...!!!

If i have a business as of your then I will prefer this first..!!

But I still suggest you that go for some photography experts or photography businessmen; they will help you more...!!!

I'm not longer showing horses, I now compete with my dogs. But at multiday shows, some of the photographers will print up some collages from previous days and sell those prints at the show. Or you can purchase them from their website.

MOST of them give you options.. Prints, of your desired size(s), a cd of multiple photos, or will email the photos you choose.

One guy does videos of the dogs run and will email those, for $10/run.

I would prefer to have a CD of the images. That way I can upload them to my computer myself and I'd have 2 copies.
