Spurs fans, what are your feelings about the 'Welsh Wonder' re-signing ?

Simon Johnson and Tom Collomosse of the London Evening Standard reported the news of the 23-year-old's deal:

Standard Sport understands the Wales international...has committed his future to the club with a £130,000-a-week deal and will remain at White Hart Lane next season.

It is believed, though, that the Welshman is likely to be allowed to leave in 12 months’ time should an enormous bid — in excess of £50 million — come in for him.

What are your thoughts ?

I think its a great idea, if he keeps up his current form, his value is no doubt going to keep increasing, and even if he's sold, that would bode really well for Tottenham's buying power.

The 130,000 a week deal, if its true, is a steal for someone of his skill and potential.

such as you, i'm a brilliant Ginobli fan and am thankful for all he has accomplished for the Spurs company, he has been a ultimate participant. although his enjoying days are close to an end, his decline become appreant interior the Playoffs this season, particular he nevertheless has courtroom know-how and super passing, yet his offense manufacturing truly harm the crew interior the Finals. If he will enable the crew to restructure his settlement to a mill or much less, then i could shop him for his journey and to help the greater youthful gamers. something greater in terms of pay would not be truly worth it thinking they should try to shop Neal, eco-friendly, and Leornard.

I also read that article and I do believe that it's best for him to move.

He is quite young and can only get better. Moving to a bigger club will definitely benefit him and he will start winning trophies. Teams like Bayern, Madrid or even Barcelona would suit him well. I know that it's a big controversy wether he'll be given a starting role with so much competition in those big clubs but i'm sure that he won't have a problem. I do hope that i'm not exaggerating but I see him like Messi and Cristiano moving to a new club. They would all be starters and key players.

facking stupid, he is on a 4 year deal why give him another deal worth twice his pay packet only to say "we'll sell him next year " ?

£3.1m extra to keep a player at a club, that we have no intention of selling and has a long contract. Begs the question why have long term contracts at all ?

The only thing i can think is that they have wanted to redo his contract to put a buy out clause in, which are pointless when you have a player already under contract for that time, e.g City bid £50m and Spurs say no.

it's not final but i hope it doesn't happen, as that finical strain on the club is not good.
