Medicare allowed amount in Oregon?

As an ABO Certified Optician working for Luxottica, I deal with Medicare patients on an fairly often basis. The most common question I get is "How much is Medicare going to reimburse me?" I know they cover 80% of the Medicare approved amount, but I cannot find what that approved amount is. I've done various searches and searched the Medicare website everywhere. I even called Medicare...who was no help. Does anyone know what that covered amount is in Oregon? I hate giving my patients such a vague answer =P

It depends on the lenses and the Frames. They usually cover a pair of glasses after cataract surgery only. Usually the amount is enough to cover most places for sv, BF or TR, nothing toward a prog. But the amounts are different for each of the three lens styles. So, I can not really tell you!
