Are Catholics allowed to wear a bikini to the beach?
I mean a normal two piece bikini of course and not a "string bikini"(bum hanging out).
Is this ok or is this considered immodest and forbidden?

What would be wrong for wearing a bikini on the beach, it's not like you're completely naked or losing virginity before marriage! Yes, we're allowed to wear a bikini on the beach!

A true Christian would not believe in going around in
public half naked with men gawking at and staring at you.
Its just not right and sends the wrong message.
True Christians do Not do it. Anyone who does it and thinks its
okay is Not really Christian no matter what they say.
Also true Christians do not do what everyone else is doing
and justify it as being okay.
One should wear a modest one piece bathing suit
if they plan to go swimming. Please understand it is For Swimming.
Not for looking good to strange men. That is not the purpose of it.
If you are not swimming, then wear regular shorts (not short shorts)
and a t - shirt to the beach.
Its also Not a strangers business of how you look in a bathing suit.

Pictures of you in a string bikini with a cross and your bum hanging out , or I report you to his Weenie-ness, the pope.
And the answer to your question is a definite no and yes.
As usual with all theological questions, some would say it was ok and some would think it sinful.
And I'd suggest you stop using the words immodest and forbidden, you're never going to have any fun saying that all the time.
EDIT: Isn't it cool, the catholics here confirmed my answer as a definite no, and yes. I'm so smart.

There's no reason they wouldn't be. As long as you're not being immoral, and you don't seem to be. It'd be quite different if you were only wearing a bathing suit like that to be provocative and sinful but it seems that you hav e only the practical purpose of swimming in mind so, I don't see why not.

yes. for catholics it's all about being good people and charitable etc. so it doesnt really matter and there is no thou shall not wear bikinis comandment and it harms nobody so it is ok ,even with your butt hanging out..

No, because as a Christian you should practice modesty. Mind you, I'm a practicing Catholic and know that a lot of Catholics I know would have no qualms about this---not surprising though, as they are only Catholic by name not by actually studying and practicing their Faith.

I think that would be highly frowned upon. Not to mention never even cross their mind to do so to be honest. This way,is not who they are,and why they are nuns.
