What do you think of these mashups? (Smashing Pumpkins, Beatles, Metallica, Nirvana, Zeppelin, NIN, & more!)?
I don't know about you, but I love a good mashup. In case you don't know, a mashup is a combination of 2 or more songs created by a DJ or through editing software. Most of the time they are awful but slightly amusing, sometimes they are hilarious, and every now and then they are brilliant.

Q2: Know any good and/or funny mashups? If not, do a Youtube search for a band/artist with the word mashup or vs and post your favorite result. (for example, "rush mashup" or "pixies vs")
R2: Song of the day by an artist listed above?
D2: Cover song of the day?
U2: Hated because they are so popular or because they suck?

I would say the one of Led Zeppelin vs. Black Sabbath is the best one. My second best choice would have to be The Who vs. The Beatles.
The big problem with most mashups being crappier than ever is that they make the worst possible combinations. You DON'T do Guns N' Roses with something sucky like jackson five (I'm purposely choosing to spell them wrong)! You DON"T do The Beatles with WHOEVER THE HELL nine inch nails are (GET SOME TASTE)! YOU HAVE TO MATCH GENRE WITH GENRE!!!!
If anyone can help, I'm trying to make a mashup with Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion" and The Doors' "Break on Through (To the Other Side)". I want Steven Tyler's vocals substituted for Jim Morrison's. YouTube used to have Jim Morrison's vocals, but it was taken down. I STILL HAVE THE AUDIO FROM IT!!!! If anyone wants it, email me at: "rockomedy@yahoo.com".
Thanks!

I listened to your links earlier when I had a headache. They made it so much worse I couldn't even answer the question...."Illiterate City" probably worked the best though.
Q2: No, enough is enough!

U2: Bands that suck shouldn't be that popular.

I have one that is "Crazy In Love" vocals over the riff/drums for "Moby Dick", and its actually awesome.
The Beatles "Helter Skelter" (why not)
"In The Open" as covered by Stevie Ray Vaughan (live in 1980)
The Strokes (because they suck)
