Can my wireless hook up to multiple networks at a time.?

The Situation im looking at is i have 2 laptops, with wireless, i want both of those to access my wireless modem for internet. thats not a problem. but i have a desktop that i wish add a wireless card to. this computer has my data backup space on it,

I want to know if i can make the laptops connect simultaneously to the Modem and the desktop, or do i have to Disconnect from one and then connect to the other.

Also as far as i know, i cant file share through the modem to the laptops. (its a Virgin broadband Modem)

If your desktop have access to your network, it won't be any problem for the laptop to be connected to Internet and the desktop. The only thing you'll have to do is to create a share folder on the desktop so that any laptop on you network can have access to that folder.

    Good luck!

OK well I'd need more precise information to give you a walk through but if you're running Windows 7 or Vista you'll be able to create a homegroup that will let you access and transfer files between any of the computers that are connected to the network. The only limit you would have is if your modem or router has a limit on how many machines can connect to it. So if you connect them all to wi-fi you'll be able to share files between any of them
