Munição: como é chamado cartucho sem projétil em portguês? ("blanks" em inglês)?

Sei que no vocabulário de munição existe a palavra "festim" para cartuchos sem projétil, os que fazem barulho, mas não matam. Já ouvi falar essa paravra no contexto de teatro, mas queria saber se essa é a palavra usada também no contexto militar, ou se os militares têm outro nome para isso.

No meio militar também é chamada de munição de festim.
