I downloaded a movie from Limewire, and I can hear it, but why can't I see it?

Question

I downloaded a movie in AVI format from Limewire.  I scanned it for virus after the download and it's clean.  It automatically opens with Windows Media Player, and when it does, I can hear the movie but not see it.  The screen is just blank.  I jumped around to different parts of the movie and I could hear the parts, but nothing appeared on the screen.  I've tried opening it with iTunes but nothing happens (I figure because of the format).  Can someone help me out?  Also, how can I get it to work on my iTunes so I can get it on my iPod?  Thanks!

It sounds like you need some codecs for your AVI player in order to view it.

You could try to find out which codecs you need to get, or you could just rent the movie legitimately which may be easier depending on your computer knowledge.
