So I am 22 weeks and still have mine in. This is my second pregnancy and I never had an outtie but took it out with my first and this time around I have decided to keep it in. Just yesterday I had to change the bar to a longer one and a bigger ball on top. I did get a pregnancy belly ring but it is hugh and it looks like a bull's nose ring when I have it in. I would do what is comfortable to you and look into those pregnant belly rings they may have some that are not so big like mine.

You should take your belly ring out before your third month. It can scar or tear and be extremely uncomfortable. I'm not sure about what hospital you are going to go through but mine there is absolutly no jewelry allowed during labor due to the fact that there is a chance for emergency c-section and they will have to cut it off.
