Does http://aresgalaxy.sourceforge.net/ put viruses on your computer?
I hear that it's like limewire but limewire puts viruses on your computer. Does this program do that too?

If you are never sure if you can trust a website or the contents of, you can always check this site
for millions of consumer reviews of the website and a score, if you have firefox this can be added as a gadget to your websurfing; so that whenever you go to the website, just look at the top left and the circle will be either green yellow or red (meaning good alright and bad)
But Ares, compared to limewire is a little safer.
but to be truthful, Torrents are better in that they can transfer bigger files, like whole cd's or movies in under 20 minutes. one example is Utorrent or Bittorrents,
Every Downloading program has a 'chance' of virus encounters, so just be careful and check a files background, whatever program you use.

No. Limewire will not give you viruses. I know a lot of people are saying yes but they are either wrong or not clear enough. Limewire won't give you viruses. However, files you download using Limewire may be viruses in disguise or infected files. Do you know how Limewire works? Most people use it to download music that they haven't paid for. Users put music/video files on their computer and then share them via Limewire. They may own the music and video files and be legally allowed to put copies on their computer but they can't legally share them unless there is no copyright on them. Most music and videos are copyrighted. So if you use Limewire to share or obtain copyrighted material, you are breaking the law.

I found a very useful and free Web safety tool called McAfee SiteAdvisor. It adds safety ratings to search results and the sites you visit to help protect you from spyware, adware, spam, and identity theft. I thought you might also want to try McAfee SiteAdvisor so you can stay safer online.
To try McAfee SiteAdvisor, just go to their website and click "download." It's free and only takes about 30 seconds.
Another test site is Norton Web Safe by Symantec.
