What's Wrong With My WiFi?
My laptop wont connect to my receiver anymore. I have only tried the wifi in my house so it's not like I tried to connect when I'm outside or anything. My laptop use to connect fine a few months ago and now I have to go through a process. I have to either connect my laptop directly to the receiver or I have to go into the living-room (where the receiver is) and I can connect to the internet and go back into my room and it'll work for a while, but then it'll disconnect and I'll have to do it all over again. So my question is what is wrong? I don't have any viruses and I scan everyday. So any ideas on what I can do to fix this problem because, like I said before, it use to work everywhere, even at my neighbors house, then all of a sudden it stopped working long range.
BTW, my room is only about 30ft from the receiver.

My guess is it is a signal strength issue.
Right click on your wireless connection and select status....check out the signal strength. Do this near the WAP and leave it up while you walk away and see what happens.
Also check the WAP, did the antenna(s) get knocked so they are lying down...make sure the WAP is not on the floor behind something. It could just be getting old a losing strength. Play with the angle a little bit and watch the signal strength meter while in your room.
