Converting Camcorder to DVD?

I have a JVC Digital Camcorder that records to mini DV tapes. I can connect the camcorder to my computer via USB. The capture software that came with the camcorder is horrible. Whenever I capture using the software and then burn to a DVD using Nero the image is very grainy. Do I need better software or hardware? If it's software, can someone recommend a good free or cheap program?

there are distinctive procedures to end conversion, the two by hardware or utility. Hardware conversion could be greater costly yet much less vendors to blunders and oftentimes speedier than re-encoding to vcd, svcd or dvd, then burning and hoping it is going to play on your dvd participant. i exploit WinDVD (WinProducer) and Nero for utility conversion yet Plextor sells one in each of those hardware converters on line at genuine looking expenses. you would be able to nicely be waiting to locate different manufacturers at your community retail outlet additionally yet examine the specs to be certain precisely what you have become. Edit: you will lose some image high quality whilst changing to svcd (rather vcd) and the document length could be basically approximately as super as MPEG-2 on DVD which has a greater effective typical image. even regardless of the undeniable fact that i've got seen respectable SVCD's, it is going to remember on the dimensions of your video or maybe though in case you may greater healthful all of it on a cd. in case you should use DVD then i might advise changing to MPEG-2 format.

you will need a firewire and IEEE connection for the firewire on your computer , and a program called ulead moviestudio , or video vegas , these allow you to print the dvd tape to disc with lossless transfers . the quality cannot lose from what the original was.. It sounds like you have sent video over from the usb , which will be the low quality video recorder (not to tape) this model has

and a dvd editor will be something like dvd atchitect, or ulead have one to
