Does Enchant Creature also qualify as an Enchantment in Magic: The Gathering?

This is what I mean:

We all know the card type "Enchant Creature". Are these cards also qualified as an "Enchantment"?

What brings me to the question is I was about to play Hull Breach ( http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?&... ) on Cage of Hands ( http://ww2.wizards.com/gatherer/CardDetails.aspx?&... ) when I realized I wasn't exactly sure if it targeting Cage of Hands was legal. Can someone let me know?

    It is a legal target.

Enchantment is a broad category from anything such as Tribal, Aura, World, etc. and includes Enchant Creatures.

No, because Enchantments that enchant creatures are Aura. It's a subtype of Enchantments, and it means that it has to enchant a permanent. On cards, it would usually say "Enchanted Creature". So, Greater Auramancy won't give "Shroud" to all creatures, even if an Enchantment is on field that affects creatures.

Dax is right. Bad Moon isn't enchanting your creatures. It's ability is effecting creatures, but it isn't enchanting them. To Enchant a creature, you must play an Enchantment - Aura (older cards say Enchant Creature). Bad Moon is just a normal Enchantment. It comes on the field and sits there doing whatever it does. Creatures may be effected by it, but they don't gain shroud because it isn't Enchanting anyone. However, Bad Moon gets shroud because it is an enchantment, and Greater Auramancy effects Enchantments.

Ya, an "enchant creature" is also an enchantment, therefore, you can play Hull Breach targeting Cage of Hands, just fine.

Of course, if you do that, Im sure the owner of Cage of Hands would just pay to 1{w} to return the card to their hand, causing your Hull Breach to fizzle.

yes on the enchantment, does it not say enchant on the card? I don't know about the other thing your asking.
