Backpacking through Europe?Any one have hints/tips/ suggestions? Cost? Cool cheap places?

I'm just starting to plan. It is more of an idea really and it would probably be a couple more years until I make the trip. I know I don't really want to go to all big cities, I would really like to see a couple of small towns to really get the feel of the countries that I would be in. I'm going for more of a cultural trip rather than a history lesson... So do you have any hints or tips? Ways to keep the cost down? I'm fearful that it will cost my life's savings. Any places that you have travelled that you really enjoyed in Europe? Thank you!

Bring all different types of clothes. You never know what the weather will be like in Europe. It may be sunny one day or rainy the next. Warm then cold. You NEED to bring a rain jacket. It's a must.

you're able to try this one among 2 strategies, you may the two purchase a 2 month Youthrail bypass and then your transportation and your dozing arrangements are dealt with for 2 months... yet that 2nd month is costly. or you ought to purchase in basic terms a ONE MONTH bypass and not turn on it till you have already been in Europe for a week or 2. The time does not start up till you activate it, so which you will purely save it on your pocket till you're waiting to lose it. in case you prefer to be mushy and have some room to do issues on the spur of the 2nd, you ought to have approximately $one thousand in line with man or woman in line with month... so for 2 months which would be $2000 each and every. before you do the rest, bypass to any e book place in any mall and %. up "EUROPE by way of EURAIL" and the "THOMAS prepare dinner EURAIL TIMETABLE"... you will learn how to stay by way of those 2 books. you additionally can %. up FODOR'S EUROPE, yet once you in basic terms prefer to hold 2 books, then get the 1st 2. the 1st one is a sturdy known handbook e book and the 2nd is a timetable for all the Eurail trains... cases, stations, etc and you will't backpack with out it. particularly, you would be dozing on trains at evening and sightseeing in the process the day. in case you prefer to spend greater advantageous than at some point exploring, then you definately arrive interior the morning... sightsee in the process the day... get on the practice to a pair in one day holiday spot (it is why you ought to have the Timetable e book) then you definately sightsee all day... get lower back on the practice that evening and bypass lower back to the 1st city. lower back while i develop into your age, I had some clothing in a small lower back %. and my guitar and made some respectable funds enjoying on highway corners or in subway stations, so in case you or your pal can play guitar, it is advisable to think of approximately that. have exciting
