Showers, towels, dirty....?

We all use towels to dry our body after having a shower.

You have a shower = you are clean = you dry with a towel.

Why that towel has to be washed if you haven't put it in contact with something that is not clean?

Once I heard something about the humidity in contact with the cotton of which towels are made... does someone knows about it or can explain that to me?

Yes, We Shower and are Clean,But the Towels on the other hand are not really clean at the least. Our body's shed millions of skin cells every day. Which in turn, end up on our Towels.YUCK! As far as moist towels or in a Humid environment Mold or Mildew can begin to grow, specially with dead skin cells for food to help the growth.

Towels should not be shared. They do dry areas of the body that are personal. It's okay for one person to dry with the same towel a few times but don't share the towel with anyone else.

Moisture buildup isn't good even if the towel hangs to dry. After a while, from personal experience, the more you reuse a towel, the more they start getting a mildewy smell, especially during the warmer, more humid time of year. So you don't want to dry yourself with a mildewy towel.

The key is moisture, If the towel gets dry fairly soon after a shower, not to many germs, if it lays around damp,,, it is a breeding ground. The best thing, is not to share towels,,, and make sure they get dry, if your bath is well ventilated, or air conditioned, this is not a problem.

We always hang our towels up to dry and reuse them at least once. I agree if they have not mopped up the floor, they shouldn't be dirty.
