Do you have, or do you know anyone with a tattoo with tiny detail?
I have one and am taking excellent care of it (it's completely healed, I use high SPF sunscreen all the time). But I would like to know of anyones personal experience with one over time. I would like to see before and after pictures of tattoos with tiny detail, and color, that are fresh, and then after some time has gone by. I want to see how they held up - depending on care.
I appreciate any search that you do and any images that you come up with. Thank you for your time and trouble.
Thank you all who have responded. I am still looking for examples of fresh and then years later tattoos. I am curious about the longevity of newer tattoos, because of different depth than old school methods, and new inks, and better aftercare. With all these things in place, how much greater is the potential of tiny detail holding up well over time?
I know that stuff from W11 era is usually pretty blurred, but they did virtually no aftercare or sun protection.
Still looking for examples of older tattoos with tiny detail, and accounts of touch up successes. Thank you for any effort.

Small tattoos and tiny details don't stay like they should, it all blends in together and at the end looks like a blob that u have to look at it close to see what it is, but that happens in like 3-4 years, sucks but ive seen it way to many times here at the shop, that's why we don't do tiny tattoos.
Bigger is always better!

yeah, about the sise of a toonie... maybe take a half hour, and at most 50$ depending on wich place you get it done... but for something that small they should charge 30$ it's not fading you have to worry about cuz you have to get touch ups.. it's stretching it... It wont stretch on your hand or fingers tho, but anywhere else, if you gain weight and then lose some it'll strech and end up being a blob...

i just recently got a couple of lilacs with a lot of small details on my shoulder, so i cant talk of how well it will age.
tattoos in general are going to lose their detail and crispness over time. if you keep it moisturized and out of the sun it will help a lot. its not unusual to get a tattoo retouched after a few years to keep it nice and new looking.

Sounds like you are doing everything correctly to take care of it. As with anything, things fade over time, especially when it is crafted on a living organ (skin), that also grows old.

I just got one myself.It's a hummingbird perched on a flower.I was told to use palmers coco butter on it.
