should this tank cycle in another couple of weeks?

Hi, these are my ammonia/nitrite/nitrate levels over the last 5 days. I have a red eye tetra in there (he was bullying a mate in the other tank horribly), and a small-medium mystery snail.

It is 4 weeks old, I am feeding small amounts of flake to the tetra once a day he always eats it all, and just a little of bit of a cooked peeled pea later at night which is usually gone in the morning.

I am not doing any water changes and I have some nice brown stuff on my filter sponge and on the driftwood.

Ammonia Nitrites Nitrates

2.00 0.50 10.00

1.50 0.75 7.50

2.00 1.00 7.50

2.00 1.00 7.50

2.00 2.00 7.50

p.s. maybe I got the Nitrate lvl wrong on the first day...

thanks for your help :)

Update:

4 weeks cycling so far

Update 2:

thank youl, i know my tank hasn't finished cycling yet that's why i'm asking how much longer it may take.

just a catch up, i have already been cycling 4 weeks, and i have 1 red eye tetra and a small-medium mystery snail in the tank for cycling

When ammonia and nitrite are zero, then you will be done cycling. It is a long process, but it is worth it being patient. A tank will not be healthy until it is fully cycled.

The fact that you have nitrates, is a good sign. The bacteria that convert nitrite to nitrate are finally taking hold, and you should have probably a week until you are finished. Make sure to do a large water change once ammonia and nitrite are zero, as nitrates will be very high. High nitrates are still harmful, and removed through weekly 25% water changes.

Ammonia and Nitrite should be 0 if they are not reading this then it has not completed the cycle, the cycle could take anywhere from 6-8+ weeks to finish, how are you cycling the tank? with fish or fishless?

properly if those are your stages then plainly your tank is cycled, yet i do no longer understand if i could have faith this product completely, wait it out yet another few weeks, and save attempting out your water each and every 2-3 days, your ought to do a 20% water exchange to diminish your nitrates, in case you have fish interior the tank.. then attempt the water back after 24 hours to be taught your stages. as long as your ammonia and nitrites do no longer start to upward push your are ok, water ameliorations is the only thank you to maintain nitrate stages down, attempt no longer applying the different products like top. you want to verify if the ammonia is being processed via bacteria no longer chemical compounds. in basic terms use ur worry-loose water conditioner for water ameliorations and notice if the bacteria is doing its activity. in the experience that your stages carry for some weeks with out including something your ought to be cycled, (p.s to cycle a tank appropriate it may soak as much as two-3 months, after each and every week it no longer likely it quite is. till you used some seeded gravel or filter out media from a longtime tank)

  • Your ammonia and nitrite levels should be 0.

Untill then its not finished cycling.

Trying daily water changes of about 15% till u get it down to 0

You can speed up the process through the addition of beneficial bacteria.

You can buy beneficial bacteria, or u can get it from the gravel or filter media of an established tank

    XD

I would give it a few more weeks to cycle.
