How can you have negative points in Yahoo answers?

Question

I was just viewing someones profile and it showed they had 24 points and the Points this week was -14.

How can you have negative points for the week?

if u answer a question and the person who asked the question thinks that the answer was a stupid one and the asker reports it as abuse then u will get 10 points in negative. another way of getting is 
 when u post a question u spend 5 points for it

If you have zero points and still want to ask a question it will take 5 points so it will be -5

go to yahoo answers and the click ask and ask a question and if u ask 1 u will lose 5 points

also u might lose them over 1year or so
