Who is this mysterious individual? What is this card?

I watched a guy with a swedish accent show a card at a Lufhansa Airlines counter for a sold out flight. They had a huddle, then put him in first class. He didn't seem to pay. I had been denied the same seat at full price a few minutes earlier. The card was black, not an amex or credit card, and they didn't slide it. They just looked at it with his passport. The only word I heard was "Palisade" and "P.I.C". Anybody know who the guy was or what the card was?

Obviously he was someone far more important than the rest of the people there - that's why he got such service. Might have been a government official or even royalty ! ! !

I saw a guy do the same thing at a Stones concert in Vegas!

This guy came right past the line, asked for the boss by name. Then he just pulls out a black plastic card, hands it to the guy and says "palisade". He went straight in with 3 other guys. One of the guys I worked with there told me he saw it before, and heard it had something to do with some trust. Nobody gets comp'd to a Stones concert, so it was weird.
