  • Can continuous sounds while asleep cause ringing in the ears after waking up as a result of constant eardrum and ear canal stimulation ?

I've had aquarium bubbles going in my bedroom as a kid, but they helped me sleep. No ringing. I've used nature sounds as an adult, but only recently have I experienced ringing in the ears later in the day after I wake up. I listen to a lot of computer audio like YouTube and live TV streams for hours most of the day and evening. The ear ringing started recently when my sleep sound (to help me fall asleep) was jet plane cabin noise. So I switched to white noise and it's still happening. Neither is at a loud volume level - just enough for me to hear it across the room from my computer speakers. I don't know if it's related, but I've had a clear sticky substance in my ear canals and I don't know where it's coming from. It used to be both ears, but lately it's just the left ear. This has been going on at least 6 months, long time before the ringing started. My doctor prescribed 2 nose sprays and 2 pills, mainly anti-histamines, thinking it was allergies, but that was 6 months ago, long before the ringing started. I don't take that stuff regularly anymore and question if it did any good. Four prescriptions seemed like overkill, as if he was guessing. Throw some spaghetti at the wall and maybe some of it will stick. Even if one of them worked, I'd never know which one, for the future. I still don't think that's related to the ringing. I've heard of people having ringing ears as a symptom of COVID, but I haven't had COVID.

  • Why can’t I sleep anymore ?

Lately my body has refused to fall asleep even with medication, I’ll typically be awake, against my will, until 2, then my body starts to itch for some reason and I start sweating profusely. I work every day at 5am so I need to get this **** sorted out

  • Is it OK to take my second Moderna dose one day early?

I got my first shot of Moderna a few days ago, and for whatever reason they scheduled me for 27 days after my first dose and I know it’s supposed to be at least 28. Should I just go with it or be safe and reschedule slightly later.. if anyone has background with this give a response.

  • Unable to open eyes and move body (except arms) while falling asleep?

I've already ruled out sleep paralysis. My hearing just cut off on both sides and my heartbeat amplified, almost like a heart beating next to my ear. I was unable to open my eyes and move my body except lift my arms. A tight feeling came over my chest (almost like flexing but not flexing) and overall lasted about 6 seconds, but it happened twice almost back to back. I cannot for the life of my figure out what this is. The only idea I might have is that my dog moved at the moment my body was shutting down for sleep and caused my brain to wake up. Still doesn't explain why I was only able to move my arms :/

  • This normal for the vaccine?

I got pfizer and i got my first dose. on the first day I was tired so i went to bed around 5pm and woke up at 3am. I went to school and felt warm and sick so i went home and it got worse, after around seven hours I took two extra strength Tylenol (I was going to take it after I got home but I forgot, and i wasnt able to sleep since I had already slept more then normal) I was fine a few hours later and next day (today) I feel perfectly normal. For context I had covid officially around December and i was very weak for about two more months, I lost taste of spice and everything smelled bad. Now i have a lot of my senses back, but taste is still iffy

My moms a nurse and she says I'm fine, and I know when I'm sick, I always wear my mask and I stay home aside from work at school. I was just curious if anyone else had something similar happen to them after their doses.

  • How much are you paying for health insurance monthly (you can post anonymously, while we still can)?

I'm reading that the "National Average premium" is $450. I just checked 3 different states, albeit coastal, the starting point there is $550-650, and these plans give you barely any coverage. Curious about the rest of you.

  • How often do nurses change their uniform in hospital ?

    Hi,

If you work as a nurse in a private hospital especially, do you wear the same uniform everyday but wash regularly or does the hospital order and give you new ones? And if so, how often is this?

  • ENT says I have TMJ but I have no symptoms?

I went to the ENT today for a problem with my right ear that has been on/off for almost a year. My ear will feel stuffed, have some pain & some tension.

He looked in my ear, said everything looks fine and it might be TMJ & sent me on my way. I looked up the symptoms for TMJ & all I have is ear pain & the pain is never when I'm chewing, speaking, yawning or using my mouth in any way. The symptoms just come & go randomly throughout the day. It's driving me crazy & I just want it to be fixed.
