I adopted a stray from the local humane society. They had her breed down as pit bull. Searching online, I'd say she looks like a Boxador (Boxer Lab mix). I might be moving in the near future and most rentals are against "violent breeds" (what a joke). What am I legally obligated to say? There is no way to prove she is a pitbull except based on the shelter's guess.

Sometimes I think people don't understand that even though the rodent they just bought was $5-$20 that vet care can cost far, far more.

What was the most you spent on vet care (visit, procedure, meds, etc)? Keep it to rodents and please state what kind of animal it was and what was wrong with it.

I spent $200 ($50 on visit, $150 on surgery) to have a small mammary tumor removed from my pet rat. If I wanted to have a lab analyze the tumor, that would have cost another $100.

We recently adopted a dog from a shelter. It's happened twice now where she seems to lose control of her head. It looks like she is shaking her head no, quickly. It goes on for about a couple of minutes and while it happens, she can still walk around and act normal. Needless to say, it's a bit freaky to watch. It kind of makes me think she's having a seizure, but only her head.

We took her to the vet and they did her blood work and everything came back normal. I've seen on this forum that some people have said it could be ear mites or an ear infection. Would the fact that her blood work came back normal, refute those possibilities?

She's about 3 (she's a stray), a terrier/pit bull mix, and everything else about her seems relatively normal. The only other strange thing she does is do this low cough. It kind of sounds like a forceful exhale and it occurs infrequently throughout the day. (If someone knows what that could be as well, that would be great.)

I'm thinking of adopting a dog from the humane society. My bf and I are frequently not at home during the week when we work. How big of an undertaking would it be to start with two dogs vs one? The dogs we are looking at are not puppies. Potentially a 3 year old and a 7 year old. Is there a significant additional cost for a second dog?
