  • How to get from Ascot to Heathrow Airport?

I'm going for Royal Ascot on Tuesday 19th June, and need to get to Heathrow Airport afterwards. National Rail says train to Feltham, and an hour bus ride (?). Seems quite long to me.

Another option is cabs - how much are cabs to Heathrow from Ascot? And are there any recommended cab companies in Ascot that I can use?

Generally, looking for opinions on all options of getting from Ascot to Heathrow!

  • Where can I buy M&Ms in bulk?

I know M&Ms come in massive bags in the US, but where can I find them in the UK?

ASDA used to sell them in massive 1kg bags, but I had a look around the shops this week and the biggest sizes are share bags at 185g.

The reason why is that we're trying to get a whole big glass jar of a single colour of M&Ms for my friend's birthday, so we need to buy M&Ms in bulk, or, if anyone knows, a place where I can buy just single colours of M&Ms.

  • What is the typical cost for buildings insurance?

I'm looking to purchase my first property after having rented for many years. It is a leasehold 3-bedroom 2-bath conversion flat in a Victorian house in London, and the freeholder is asking for approximately £120/year for buildings insurance.

I'm just trying to figure out what are typical amounts for buildings insurance - obviously it will depend on the house, location, etc and so no two dwellings will the same.

But I would like to hear from some house owners what they currently pay, and a bit about their property (postcode, size [sqft, sqm], bedrooms, building style, etc)

Many thanks for your replies, hoping to glean more light on this murky area!

  • Money Changers in London - Pounds to Euros?

Hi, going on a trip tomorrow and need to get some Euros! I know the usual M&S and Post Office, but wondering if anyone knows of any really good moneychangers in central London that are likely to have better rates than those two above?
