I have finally reached the ripe old age of 65. I am also disabled and have been for the last 12 years...believe me, it "ain't" fun! I really enjoy being on this site and helping people answer the questions they need or wish to know. It helps me to discover things I didn't knew before or had forgotten and since I'm interested in many things I find this extra knowledge a huge to benefit myself as well. I can be a tad gnarly but I don't mean anything by it...people can sometimes frustrate the heck out of me! Enjoy peeps!!!

  • Why do so many young people begin a question with the word OK or So?

I have noticed that it happens at Yahoo! Answers a lot and it's mind boggling! Are they no longer teaching English, vocabulary and usage, in our schools?

  • Can anyone tell me about changing from Morphine to Methadone for severe pain?

I have been on oral Morphine ER 120 mg. twice daily for some years. Morphine did help me with my back pain but it no longer does the trick. My doctor has just prescribed Methadone for me. The dosage is 20mg every eight hours. He and my pharmacist both tell me that the dosage will probably need to be adjusted so that it works properly. I am frightened of this drug because I have been told of what it does to recovering Heroin addicts and those who are still using and supplementing their drugs with Methadone. Can anyone speak to this situation?

  • Has anyone here read "90 Minutes in Heaven" by Don Piper?

"To those who do not believe no amount of proof will ever be enough. For those who believe , no proof is necessary." Author Unknown

This tragic and unbelievable experience forever changed one man's life and opened the wonders of Heaven for all to see. If you haven't read it, and even if you do not believe, read it anyway. If you have read this incredible story of death and life, I'd like to know what you thought of it. Thanks!

  • If you could choose one of these professions, which one would it be?

Remember, you already have the credentials for all positions listed and salary is no object. Would you be:

The President of the United States?

The CEO of a Fortune 500 company?

The manager of a Major League Baseball team?

The researcher who will find the cure for AIDS?

The scientist who discovers a grain so plentiful and rich in vitamins and minerals that it would feed every starving child in the world?

A Playboy/Playgirl centerfold and ongoing model?

    The Pope?

Please explain why you would choose your profession!

  • Isn't it true that the NY Yankees...?

have historically had the best and most recognizable players in all of baseball? Why hate/blame George Steinbrenner for trying to buy the best players in the game when it would be MLB who is to blame for allowing it?
