If someone says I have a sweet soul, is it patronising?  ?

Update:

It was from a co-worker.  She's very extrovert and I'm timid.  I hope it was a compliment to me and not, "Ah, bless her".

    That depends on the person saying it. It could be patronizing if that person doesn't value being a sweet soul very highly. Or from a different sort of person, it could be a compliment.

    Edit: well from one sweet soul to another, I'll offer this suggestion: make your own life more pleasant by choosing to take something as a compliment if you think it even might be one. (Since mind reading isn't an option.)
