When a group has a suicide rate ten times the national average, is it a good idea to consider them "normal"?
And pretend they don't have a mental illness? I mean come on, what kind of bizarro world are we living in now?
The "everyone makes their lives miserable" excuse is garbage. Even during slavery, black people in the United States had a lower than average suicide rate. Are you trying to say that somehow trans people have more miserable lives than blacks when they were slaves??? REALLY?

I go out of my way to hit people with red hair with my car. Then I read that red-headed people in my area have a higher rate of hospitalization than other people. So see? That proves that there's something wrong with red-headed people, and I'm right to hit them with my car!
Maybe if we stopped making people's lives miserable, they'd stop killing themselves.

What's 'normal'?
Suicide is a risk to themselves, not the wider population; you'd hope that you'd be kind to them and offer them the support necessary.

So you're saying teenagers aren't normal. I'll be sure to send them over to your house with rolls of toilet paper and cartons of eggs.
