build walls, a roof, add some electrical outlets, get internet and electricity installed, and some ventilation, boom ur using a laptop or a monitor outside

I use mine outside a lot. On a warm night in the summer, I will take it out on the back porch, and do whatever I was going to do on it.
Also, if I'm having one of those "all day" errand days, I'll take it with me and at lunchtime, I'll grab lunch somewhere and then go to a picnic shelter at a nearby county park and do whatever while I eat lunch. There, I can't go online, but I've got a lot of other things to do with it.
There's not much you can do about the sun washing out your screen, other than trying to get to a shady place where the sun doesn't shine directly on the screen. A few higher-end laptops have screens that they claim don't wash out in the sun. I don't know if it is something in the makeup of the screen or a setting you can use, but I do know I am not dropping over 20 C-Notes for a laptop.
So, just stay out of the sun. You really don't want the sun heating up the rest of your machine, anyway.

Shade the monitor, my friend, and do not have the sun behind you as the light falls onto the monitor.

monitors are not meant to be used outside. laptops are not meant to be used in extreme light (bright) situations, because they can overheat more easily.
if it must be outside, find a shadier spot, aimed away from the sun. preferably with an overhang of some sort, or an umbrella.

Maybe switching to a high-contrast mode, or adjusting the color gamma might help. Other than that, not much. Gamma settings can usually be found in the control panel of your graphics driver (Intel/AMD/Nvidia).
