Main stream media ARE owned by oligarchs, or dependent on the state reining elite to spin the yarns on their behalf to make them look good.
Hence there's nothing to be had to present news from all angles.
Not much different from a movie.
The idea being to elicit sympathy so you continue watching.
The desire is to get you to see it their way, so you don't oppose, get in the way of their acquiring more, more.
