For those who have had a paranormal experience, do you recall exactly how you felt when it occurred?

Update:

I recall the exact instances of my experiences and each time there was mainly an odd feeling. Kind of like a mix between confusion and exhilaration.... Almost like I wasn't supposed to be experiencing it somehow. But definitely strange and odd.

Update 2:

Cheers Incognito, and thank you sharing your experience and sentiment. I wish you all the best!

Update 3:

I wish you ALL all the best!

After my one "paranormal" experience which I've shared many times when asked here, left me confused and a little scared. Scared not of the Yucca Man, well maybe a little, but mostly because my partner on guard duty disappeared. As a young Marine L/Cpl, I knew sh!t rolled downhill and I was at the bottom. Though the tale has been embellished in the retelling, (there was no bent M-14) most of it is true and the legend is still told at 29 Palms. All the best to you as well.

Let me disburden myself of something very strange that happened about two years.  A little over a decade ago someone disappeared from my friend group.  We knew he was going through a bad patch when he vanished.  We'd been friends long enough to know family and this man was just gone from everybody's life.  After a time we thought the worst had happened and life went on.

This is the paranormal event: one night I woke up in the small hours of the night feeling like I was wild swimming through changing currents.  Exactly that feeling.  I was lying in bed just feeling the sensation, vaguely wondering what I might have been dreaming before I woke up.  Then this feeling of urgency began to come over me until it became an unbearable pressure and I had to get up and satisfy it.

The feeling took me to my desktop, itself unusual as I mostly use my laptop these days.  I went online and found myself googling an event similar to tough mudders, something this vanished person used to do, but not my hobby.  I felt completely driven to go to the sign up page for the event and when I clicked on the link the whole membership database was wide open.  I could see everyone's full details!  You guessed it, I saw our missing friend's name, DoB, address, email, even some credit card details.  I was trembling like a leaf at this point and just stared and stared.  I got up and went to the loo and the screen was still the same when I got back.  By this point I was not just trembling but shuddering.  I wrote down everything as best I could, I could hardly hold the pen because I was convulsing violently.  I wanted to take a screenshot but something prevented me, I had to write it all out longhand.  After that I was suddenly so exhausted I was weaving when I went to bed and fell straight asleep.

The next morning I thought I'd had a really vivid dream and was unsettled in that way really vivid dreams came make you feel.  Except, in front of the computer there was a yellow post-it note with a shaky version of my hand writing - but still legible and the information as I recalled it.  I started the computer and went into my browser history with a real sense of trepidation.  I could see the website in my history but when I clicked on the sign up link the site had been repaired and all I got was the sign-up form, even when following my history.

Anyway, I used the information to discretely make inquiries along every line I had and lo! it really was him and I feel so relieved.  He does not know that I know and I've never told anyone else, not even his parents and I don't know what to do about that.  I don't feel like I can invade his privacy but still feel sad that whatever he was running from involved cutting everyone out.  I do know that he's on the other side of the country, is married, and has kids.  I wouldn't want to throw a bomb into the peace he found.  I'm easy enough to find if he wants to.

The whole computer episode was so strange and I don't know what to think.  It happened because I could never have found that information otherwise.  There is one more thing.  While I was on the computer that night I had a sense of being surrounded by houseplants, like almost a jungle of various houseplants in that lush 1970s style.  It wasn't sinister, more like the background ambiance you pick up on while visiting a friendly house.

I popped a rod so hard I went blind for a full minute, and nutted all over my couch.

Gary, little guy. Time for lessons again. First, you are not a master of memory, that is just one of the many delusions little people have to make up for their short stature. You have no understanding of memory and if you are pushed to explain your argument, you will run straight to the internet. You have no understanding of (so-called) paranormal having never experienced it, yet again you preach about it? Why? Do you tell people how to fix cars when you have never seen under the hood before? When it suits you Gary, you stand on a soapbox and wave the dictionary around telling people that paranormal is anything not understood by science. When it suits you, the next day you spout "paranormal is just a made up word"???? Now, you are more or less stating the word does not exist (so-called paranormal) If you meant actual paranormal does not exist, then you are blatantly saying that science understands everything. You then say "sorry but that is how it is. You then screw it up again by actually showing us the link where you got your nonsense. I repeatedly tell you, Gary, if you want nothing more than to argue, then argue your own side, don't tell us what the internet said. We all have computers. We don't want to argue with someone who wrote crap on the computer, we want your side, things like "interstellar flight is impossible" If you must repeat other peoples work (plagiarism) at least get it right. Carl sagan NEVER said that.

EDIT! You are telling porkies again NG. You are trying to make your first decent input but can't. What you just said is a lie. Remember what you said about my post? how little details change? That is down to the human brain and how memory diminishes over time. Strange enough, your yucca man tale is just that. Every time this long winded story appears, it is EXACTLY the same. Every little mistake that we all make, is in exactly the same place? This is nothing more than a cut and paste from a book or magazine or maybe the computer. That is how you spot a fake NG, not because a post changes but because it doesn't.

I've had some strange coincidences ; though nothing really paranormal

I remember a red, digital time being flashed into my mind when I was in bed and asleep ; and going into the other room to find the video recorder showed that time exactly. I KNEW the time in my head would be on the video recorder. Of course, many times I try to guess the time and I'm never right

I think paranormal events're rare ; and because there're so many humans, only some can experience them. But I believe certain people claiming they've witnessed them

John, I am sure all manors of human behavior are commonly experienced at various times, though they would seem to merit a reason, provocation or cause usually for one to act in such ways. The moments and instances I am referring to when one has exhausted their inventory of logical reasons for what they may be experiencing which can be a curious mix of disbelief, confusion and exhilaration for the individual(s) who have had or shared such an encounter. It's quite unique I assure you and for those who have share in such an experience, it's usually not one that soon forget.

First of all I'd like to thank you for coming by for a farewell visit. It's always nice to see your posts here.

The question is difficult to answer. I've experienced two psychic events. Both were short lived and unexpected. The moods I was in were very different for each event. Yet I do clearly remember feeling strange immediately before the events. However remembering how I felt afterwards, that was a much tougher time for me. My patented blend of sophomoric egotism, skepticism and cynicism had proven unable to process what had happened. It was a bit humbling to force myself to accept, and even though both experiences were brief they put me in my place.

It does make you want to rub your eyes a little. The first thing your mind does is look for an explanation. I suppose that is normal but the explanations the mind comes out with are often weirder than the event itself. It's strange how the brain reacts to the impossible happening under your nose. One night at a friends home, a beer glass that had been put on the floor by the tv, suddenly tipped over nearly to a tipping point, it stayed there a second before falling back and revolving a second before sitting where it had been in the first place. My pal and I both saw it and were still there at around 4.30 AM trying experiments to try and make it happen again without success. He had twin daughters around 6 at the time and they had a hard life with a very strict mother. Also, one of them was very sickly with heart problems. Poltergeist activity is often reported in homes that have disturbed children, especially girls. I never saw anything else happen but it could have had something to do with the girls.

I've had a lot of paranormal experiences, when I was three I saw a monster under the sink and a couple of months ago I found a mysterious red coat hanger.

I feel elated when I have a paranormal experience, it means I have something more interesting to talk about than my old radio collection or how I still cough and wheeze after having the Covid.

My experience..i was on the Ouija, and this spirit and I communicated for hours, things got romantic.. I felt him suddenly, and had a panic attack, I got so freaked I ran out of the room. I went to the bathroom.. I knew I wanted to come back..and I did, and we were physical for what seemed a week, or more.. then he started talking to me.. that little bugger. I wouldn’t say he’s easy to deal with..I still love him, he knows I do.. 😢
