Did you have any signs or symptoms of pregnancy before you took the test?

Boobs hurting,  morning sickness etc? I dont have any of those things but I'm 8 days late for my period and plan to take a pregnancy tests today.  Is it possible to be pregnant or could it just be something else?

Update:

Theres no spotting either. I feel a little cramps like a sharp pain on my side. Could I just be super late on ovulation?

Some people have no symptoms and still think they are getting their period. There’s only one way to know for sure.

Yes I had a tiny sharp pain at 6dpo 3 inches below my belly button deep inside as if someone just gave me an injection. I then kept waking up during the night and couldn’t sleep well. I tested positive on 9dpo. He’s 2 now. I also got some spots on my chin and jaw line area. It’s the sudden change in hormones

I had no pregnancy symptoms until after five months with my first pregnancy.  My ONLY symptom was the missing periods.

Early pregnancy symptoms are mostly how your body reacts to pregnancy hormones.

If your period is late - you could take a pregnancy test - if it is negative - then there is a good chance that your ovulation was just late for this cycle - which also means that you should probably take a pregnancy test once every two weeks until you either get a positive test or a period.

Contact your doctor if your period remains missing for more than another full cycle.

A missed period is usually the first and only sign a woman is pregnant. There really are no other symptoms that early because the hormones that cause those symptoms aren't in a high enough concentration yet.

If you had unprotected sex during your ovulation window and your period is more than a week late, you should test.  There will be enough hCG in your urine to show an accurate positive result if you are pregnant.
