Does it matter to know who my incarceration past life was before this one tibetan buddhist ?

It helps you to understand why you are who you are now, the same way that knowing what your childhood was like also helps you. 

Your karma is determined by your past thoughts and actions, even from past lives, so if you know what happened in past lives, you can relate it to what is happening to you now. 

It only matters to know which prison you were incarcerated in in that supposed past life. Might help to authenticate the claim, you see. Dates would also help. And witnesses. A bit of Police paper-work would clinch it.
